What can you do to help The Friends?

We need people who can give their time to help in the home by:

1.   Organising trips, befriending schemes, remembering the residents' birthdays,
      anniversaries etc and gardening.

2.   Maintaining and running the library and bar etc.

3.   Volunteer drivers, male or female are urgently needed for driving the min-bus and
      estate car.

And also just being there for the residents, and remember, we would like ladies to visit as well! There are many things to do, so if you feel you would like to help, please telephone our Secretary Mr. Andrew McLeod on 01376 322765.

How do I join The Association of Friends?

Quite simply by Annual Membership. This is £10.00 per annum. Taxpayers who wish to make a four-year commitment can enter into a "Promise to Pay" scheme, and the Association will recover from the Inland Revenue almost a further £3.00. And yes, your wife or partner can be a member or make a donation if they wish to.

Any person who subscribes the sum of £250.00 or more on any one occasion, irrespective of their tax status, shall be eligible to become a Life Member.

There are two ways of achieving the distinction of Grand Patrons and Grand Vice Patrons:

a) By an outright donation of £1,000.00 or £500.00 respectively. In this case the Gift-Aid scheme is appropriate - or

b) By instalments over a five year period with the "Promise to Pay" scheme.
