A BROTHER

A Brother shall be eligible to apply for admission to the homes when he has attained the age of sixty years. He must also have paid his subscriptions to a Lodge or Lodges under the English Constitution for a period of at least ten years.

A married couple are eligible to apply for admission when the younger has attained the age of sixty, provided they have been married at least five years whilst the Brother was a subscribing member, and that he is otherwise qualified.

In reckoning length of membership, the period, if any, during which he may have paid subscriptions concurrently to more that one Lodge shall be considered only as a single subscription. Any Brother who has ceased to subscribe to a Lodge under the English Constitution for the past twenty years, shall not be eligible to apply. Secretaries who are exempted by the By-Laws of their Lodges from the payment of subscription, may apply if qualified in other respects.

A WIDOW

A widow shall be eligible to apply for admission to the home when she has attained the age of sixty years. Her (last) husband must have been a member and paid his subscription to a Lodge, or Lodges under the English Constitution for a period of at least five years unless (himself being an Annuitant) his petition has been accepted by the Committee of Management before the expiration of that period.

In reckoning length of membership, the period, if any, during which her husband may have paid subscriptions concurrently to more than one Lodge shall be considered as only one period. A Widow must have been the wife of her (last) husband while he was a subscribing member of a Lodge, and for at least five years before his death. The Widow of a Brother who has ceased to subscribe to a Lodge under the English Constitution for the twenty years, immediately preceding his death, shall not be eligible to apply, but the Widow of an Annuitant shall not be disqualified on this ground alone. The Widows of Secretaries who have been exempt by the By-Laws of their Lodges from the payment of subscription, may apply if qualified in other respects.

A DAUGHTER/SISTER/MOTHER/MOTHER-IN -LAW

A Daughter/Sister/Mother/Mother-in-Law of a Freemason or deceased Freemason upon whom she is/was dependent shall be eligible to apply for admission to the homes when she has attained the age of sixty years. Her Father/Brother/Son/Son-in-Law must have been a member and paid his subscription to a Lodge or Lodges under the English Constitution for a period of at least five years, unless (being himself an Annuitant) his petition had been accepted by the Committee of Management before the expiration of that period.

In reckoning length of membership, the period, if any, during which her Father/Brother/Son/ Son-in-Law may have paid subscriptions concurrently to more than one Lodge shall be considered only as one period. The Daughter/Sister/Mother/Mother-in-Law of a Brother who has ceased to subscribe to a Lodge under the English Constitution for the twenty years immediately preceding his death shall not be eligible to apply, but the Daughter/Sister/Mother/Mother-in-Law of an Annuitant shall not be disqualified on this ground alone. The Daughters/Sisters/Mothers/Mother-in-Law of Secretaries who have been exempt by the By-Laws of their Lodges from the payment of subscriptions, may apply if qualified in other respects.
