At a meeting at Stisted Hall on 27th October 2009
the RMBI announced that following refusal of a Planning Application for
a replacement care home in Braintree the Trust had decided that Stisted
Hall would not be closed in the foreseeable future and that it has budgeted
for some improvements, refurbishment and redecoration both inside and outside.
This announcement was met with applause from Residents, relatives, staff
and the Association of Friends.
As one Resident said “It was always on my mind that
I might have to pack my bags and move away from this lovely home and setting.
I can now stop worrying about the future.”
